Apple is working with the new hybrid touchscreen computer running an ARM processor which will be lightweight when compared to other and that also offers the best of iOS and macOS.

We already know every time Apple will come with the coolest idea. According to a report from 9to5Mac now, Apple is secretly working on a new kind of computer under a code name ‘Star’. This new computer running an ARM processor which will be lightweight when compared to other and that also offers the best of iOS and macOS.  Apple has been made the device already and their employees are currently testing a few prototypes in Cupertino.

Features of the new hybrid computer:-

  • Comes with a touchscreen display
  • It is Water resistant
  • Runs the Extendible Firmware Interface(EFI) boot system used in Macs
  • And also with old stuff compass and GPS

This new ARM-based notebook ‘Star’ will also come up with an LTE connectivity. Already there are two notebooks HP Envy X2 and Asus NovaGo which are Qualcomm-powered notebooks. These two notebooks are also lightweight with 25hours of battery life. The ‘star’ notebook runs an iOS which was labelled as a different family as compared to other iOS devices.

ARM powered BadgeOnce Microsoft merged its desktop and mobile operating system. Most of them believe Apple also going to do that mistake. But Apple CEO Tim Cook believes desktop computers and mobile should be separate from each other. He once stated “ it’s users weren’t interested in a device that merges MacOS and iOS ”  in an interview to The Sydney Morning Herald in Chicago.

According to 9to5Mac, this new notebook ‘Star’ will be released in 2020. The new ARM-powered processors will be included in new Macs which will drop the use of Intel-powered chipsets. The new processors included laptops will also release in early 2020.

Apple plans a WWDC annual conference next week in California. WWDC 2018 runs June 8 -10. The following were expected to be announced at the developer conference iOS 12, macOS 10.4, tvOS 12, and watchOS.
